The medical director leads the team in developing an individualized treatment program designed to help achieve as much independence as possible and to prevent further decline in function. The medical director will seek consultation from the following disciplines depending on diagnosis and evaluation.
Physical therapy services strive to restore and/or achieve as much movement and function as possible to decrease pain. Through evaluation and treatment programs, the physical therapist can treat persons with a variety of ailments and conditions.
Occupational therapy services help individuals to achieve as much independence as possible in their lives – despite disabilities. The occupational therapist facilitates, promotes, maintains and enhances performance in activities of daily living skills, regardless of physical, developmental, social and emotional challenges.
These services enable individuals to maximize functional speech, language, cognition and swallowing skills.
Restorative services are provided based on the recommendations made by physical and occupational therapies and speech-language pathology. Communication supports are offered as well to help the individual to reach their fullest potential possible.
